What to Bring on Your Family Vacation

If you're heading down south with the family for some fun in the sun, there are some definite things that need to be remembered when packing.

I'll be heading off to a fun-filled trip to Orlando, Florida with my husband and kids and in advance of the trip, have made my list and checked it twice in order to be fully prepared.

There are some tried and true strategies and tips to remember when traveling on a vacation such as this. When visiting a locale that offers fun and adventure, make sure to think through each day that you're going to be there and prepare for every aspect of your trip. This will allow you to maximize the good times and keep the challenges and meltdowns to a minimum. As well, moms and dads - you're on vacation as well! It shouldn't be all about the kids. Look into adult-friendly activities for yourselves such as shopping, golfing, dining out and more. If you can, look for a hotel that offers child care so that you can make the most of even a few hours alone.

Here is a video appearance that I did discussing how pack for your family vacation. For more video tips, click here.
